Auxiliary percussionist wanted to join and perform with the SWINGIN’ BOPCATS BIG BAND. Must be able to read percussion music, play Latin percussion (congas, bongos, timbales, guiro, etc.) and assorted color percussion instruments. Large ensemble rhythm section experience, drum set experience, and ability to play mallet percussion are big pluses. The successful candidate must be available during our performance season which generally runs from May through September, however, additional performance dates may be scheduled throughout the year. Rehearsals are conducted year-round on Thursday evenings in Monaca, PA. Auditions will be conducted with the band during rehearsal. This is a unique and rewarding musical opportunity for a team-playing percussionist.
