A Swingin’ Salute For Our Veterans – The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band

The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band is honored to bring the sounds of the Swing Era to the residents of the Southwestern Veterans’ Center in Pittsburgh!

The Swingin’ Bopcats look forward to providing an afternoon filled with classic big band favorites, swinging rhythms, and music from an era that holds so many wonderful memories. We are especially proud to have the opportunity to perform for the veterans and residents who have given so much in service to our country.

Step back into the 1940s for an unforgettable evening of dinner, dancing, and live Big Band music! Join us at the Air Heritage Aviation Museum on Saturday, November 7, 2026, featuring The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band. Dinner is included, 1940s theme wear is encouraged, and tickets are $45 per person.

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to swing! Air Heritage Aviation Museum invites you to step back in time for a special 1940s Hangar Dance on Saturday, November 7, 2026, featuring The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band!

Set among the history and atmosphere of Air Heritage Aviation Museum in Beaver Falls, this nostalgic evening will bring the sounds of the Big Band era to life. Enjoy dinner, dancing, vintage aviation surroundings, and live music from The Swingin’ BopCats. 1940s-themed attire is encouraged, so feel free to dress for the era and make a night of it!

The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band regretfully have to cancel their performance today, June 14th at 2PM due to inclement weather. Other events associated with From Flappers to the Front: Jazz, Jalopies & Hard Times, may be continuing and we encourage everyone to check it out.

The Swingin’ Bopcats at the St. Joseph’s Festival

Come see the Swingin’ BopCats perform at the St. Joseph’s Church Festival, Thursday, July 16h, 2026 at 1304 4th Ave, Coraopolis, PA 15108. Band to start at approximately 7 PM.

🚨 BAND UPDATE: The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band Are NOT Performing Tonight ( The St. Joe’s Festival is still ON! 5-10 PM) 🚨

Due to the Code Red Air Quality Alert caused by the Canadian wildfire smoke, the Swingin’ BopCats Big Band will unfortunately not be performing at the MSHJ Parish Festival tonight (Thursday, 7/16).

Performing a high-energy, outdoor big band show requires a lot of lung power, and given the very poor air quality and the age of our band members, we have to prioritize their health and safety tonight. We are so disappointed to not being able to provide the music!

🎡 HOWEVER, the MSHJ Parish Festival is still happening! 🍔

Please still head on down to Coraopolis tonight to support the parish! They still have:

September 11th “Let’s Roll” Memorial Ceremony

“Where were you when the world stopped turning” 25 years ago?

Join the Swingin’ BopCats on September 11th for a special memorial ceremony at the “Let’s Roll” Rally. The gathering begins at 4:30 PM at the Irvine Park Gazebo in Beaver, PA, with the BopCats performing at approximately 5:00 PM.

This community picnic and rally invites you to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and come together in reflection and remembrance.

9/11 “LET’S ROLL” Memorial Ceremony – 25th Anniversary

Purpose:
Fundraiser to support the construction of a war memorial in Quay Park, Beaver, honoring Gulf War/Desert Storm MIA and deceased veterans.

Please mark your calendar and join us for the “LET’S ROLL” Rally at Irvine Park in downtown Beaver.

This event is organized as a Community Picnic & Rally.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and an American flag.

Program Begins at 4:30 PM

The ceremony will include:

  • National Anthem
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • 9/11 Poem
  • Placement of Flowers
  • Additional Performances/ Ceremonies/Speakers
