William K. Schwartz Memorial Award

The Swingin’ BopCats Big Band are proud to announce and congratulate the 2025 Scholarship Winners: Joshua Dahma and Julian Nole

Joshua Dahma:

  • Very involved member of school’s JROTC program as well as the music department
  • Marching Band Drum Major for two years
  • Tuba Player – Has participated in PMEA Orchestra and Band events at the District and Region levels
  • Was involved on stage in his school musical this spring
  • Hopes to study aviation at the Community College of Beaver County and to become a professional pilot. 
  • Plans to continue involvement in music in the community beyond high school.

Julian Noll:

  • Highly accomplished in academics and school involvement. One of the top students in his graduating class.
  • Viola Player – Dedicated member of school orchestra program, with a special interest in mentoring younger students.
  • Has helped coach the MS Orchestra during the school year. 
  • Holds a leadership role in the school’s technology department, helping support both students and teachers in devices and training. 
  • Plans to study Actuarial Science at Robert Morris University and continue playing music in college and at his church.

About the Award
The William K. Schwartz Memorial Award is awarded to a graduating seniorwho is a member of a Beaver Area Varsity Band. As a member of the Beaver High School music faculty, Mr. Schwartz was a founder and director of the Swingin’ BopCats Big Band.
